For all you generous people...
How is Calder Rescue funded?
We charge a nominal fee to attend events and a fuel cost. This barely covers the running costs of the unit and the equipment within. Any shortfall is met by the volunteer crew, and by donations.
The MSA (Motor Sports Association) Safety Fund also helps fund a part of our costs.
Why not simply charge more?
We have to consider where the money comes from, increased entry fees? There's always someone who can offer a lesser quality service for less money....
We have been asked on a number of occasions for a way for our supporters to make a donation to Calder Rescue. We now have a gofundme.com page for donations.
We really appreciate any donations we receive, which go directly to improving the facilities in the Unit and ensuring we have the most up-to-date kit and a fully functioning rescue unit to carry it all in.
